Support through the 1% Project

The 1% Project is a project of INNATUS of donating 1% of the head office turnover of 11 items of its skin care series since 1998 to support charity and academic organizations as philanthropy. We sofar donated to and supported the school building project of Plan International Japan for the children in the world who cannot have fundamental education, MSF, victims of the Mid Niigata Prefecture Earthquake, and so on.

History

The starting point of the project is that Yuko Kusumi visited many countries in ten years since she was 42 years old. She realized the fact that many people lack in daily food, and then she began private donation little by little as she could. At the opportunity of the 10th anniversary of the INNATUS skin care series, INNATUS has started the 1% Project. As we INNATUS chose education as the objective of charity, we first built a kindergarten in a village of Vietnam in July 2002. We believe that young children can have diverse possibilities, which can finally lead the country to prosperity. In October 2002, the Japan Culture Promoting Association highly appreciated social contribution of the project, and awarded Yuko Kusumi with the social and cultural order medal. As of 2010, nine schools have been built. Students of those schools now enjoys their school lives in the new school buildings.
